MPower Network runs a private directory for the founders and builders in its rooms. This page describes what it stores, who can see it, and how to have it removed. It covers the member directory only, not the public site at mpower.network.
What we collect
From Google, when you sign in. Your email address and the name on your Google account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or any other Google service, and we could not read them if we wanted to. Google also hands over a link to your profile picture as part of signing in, which is kept with your sign-in record and is never shown anywhere on this site.
From you, on your profile. Four things are required: your name, one sentence on what you are building, your city, and your LinkedIn. Your company, your stage, your website and what you are looking for are optional. All of it is editable by you at any time.
What you post. Forum posts, replies, votes, and event RSVPs.
We do not collect payment details, because membership is free. There is no analytics or advertising tracking on this site.
Who can see it
Other approved members see your profile in the directory and anything you post. That is the entire point of it, and it is why every application is read by a person before it is approved.
Nobody who is not a member can see any of it. The directory is not public, not indexed by search engines, and unreadable to anyone who is not signed in and approved. This is enforced in the database itself, not only in the app.
The MPower team can see everything, including applications that have not been approved.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
The services this runs on
Your data sits with three companies, each of which holds it only so this site can work:
- Supabase holds the database and runs sign-in, in the United States.
- Vercel hosts the site itself.
- HubSpot is MPower’s CRM. When you apply, your name, email, company, city and what you are looking for are copied there, so the team can follow up with you without keeping a second list.
Email we send you comes from MPower’s own mailbox onMicrosoft 365.
Deleting it
Email hello@mpower.network and ask, and we will delete your profile, your posts and your CRM record. There is no form and no waiting period. You can also sign out at any time, which revokes this site’s access to your Google account.
Changes
If this changes in a way that affects what we collect or who can see it, members get an announcement in the portal rather than a silently updated date at the top of this page.
